Yonaguni Island Dr. Koto Clinic (location tour)

It was more of a "trip to know the island itself" than a tour of the filming locations. The guide told us many local stories, and I felt it was worth more than sightseeing.

I was healed by the rich natural scenery, so much so that I could hardly believe that we were touring the location of a medical drama. The guide's local stories were interesting, and I could fully feel the charm of Yonaguni Island.

To be honest, I was not interested in visiting filming locations, but after hearing about the local history and culture, my perspective quickly changed. By the end of the tour, I was completely absorbed.

It was a pleasure to step on the westernmost tip of Japan after a long time. The view from Azuma-zaki was particularly breathtaking, a completely different impression from what I had seen in photographs. The dialect of the local people was also interesting, and it was a culture shock in a good way.

It was a little disappointing that rain started to fall halfway through the tour. But thanks to the resourcefulness of the guide, we were able to properly enjoy the tour. It would have been great if it had been a little sunnier.

It was the right choice for a post-retirement destination. We were able to visit the sights in a relaxed and comfortable schedule and experience both the beauty of nature and the depth of culture. I also appreciated the photo service.
