The guide’s explanation of the island was very in-depth, and it was a great tour that allowed us to learn about the culture and history that you wouldn’t discover on a typical sightseeing trip. Making traditional Kuba crafts required more dexterity than I expected, which really helped me focus. The round-trip transportation was also a huge help. If I had to nitpick, I would have appreciated it if the workspace had been a little cooler.

Next, I listened to an explanation about the island’s rich history and culture, which gave me a deeper appreciation for the charm of Yonaguni Island. The traditional kuba craft I made myself has become a wonderful treasure from my trip.

This is a standard package that combines a cultural tour of Yonaguni Island with a folk craft-making workshop. The kuba leaf craft was as challenging as I expected, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Since transportation is included, it’s very convenient if you don’t have your own transportation. For better or worse, I think it’s a laid-back tour that’s worth the price.
