Even though I was traveling alone, I was able to enjoy myself wholeheartedly without feeling self-conscious! The guide was very friendly and chatted with me easily—far from feeling lonely, I actually gained a deep understanding of the island’s history and culture, which was truly relaxing. They also took lots of photos for me for free, and since the tour takes you all the way around the island, I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Yonaguni Island for the first time!

First, the shuttle bus took us on an efficient tour of the island’s highlights, and I was truly moved by the lush natural scenery and breathtaking views. Next was the folk craft workshop using kuba—something I’d been looking forward to—and I had a great time making my own piece while receiving kind guidance from the instructor. If I had to mention one thing, I think the experience would have been even more perfect if we’d had just a little more time to take photos at each stop along the tour.

A well-balanced itinerary that efficiently covers the many highlights of Yonaguni Island while also including cultural experiences. The guide was very knowledgeable, and the explanations provided at each stop deepened my understanding. The free photo service is also a great perk for travelers. If I had to nitpick, I think the ride would have been even more comfortable if the vehicle had been a little more spacious.

We started by making traditional crafts using kuba leaves. It was a little challenging, but we had a lot of fun doing it. Next, we were taken on a tour of the island’s sightseeing spots, and we were able to visit places we might have missed if we’d been driving ourselves—we were completely satisfied! If I had to nitpick, a slightly brighter light to illuminate our work area during the craft-making session would have made it perfect… I’d love to visit again in a different season.

Since this was my first visit to Yonaguni Island, I signed up for this package, which combined the main tourist attractions with cultural experiences. The last time I visited, I explored the island on my own, but this time I signed up for a guided day tour. As expected, having a professional guide with you makes a world of difference in how deeply you can appreciate the scenery at the tourist spots. We took part in this activity during our anniversary trip with my wife, and it really made for a wonderful memory. It was our first time making traditional crafts, so we both struggled a bit, but the guide kindly showed us how, and our pieces turned out beautifully. The traditional craft workshop in Kuba was seriously amazing lol. Even if you're clumsy, you can still make something that looks great, and the guide's stories were so funny that I was laughing the whole time (lol). Everywhere you look, there are stunning, picture-perfect views! On the sightseeing tour, we were taken to so many Instagram-worthy spots, and the quality of the free photos we received was incredible. I wasn’t confident in my stamina and was a little nervous, but since it was a round-trip tour with transportation included, even a beginner like me had no trouble at all and really enjoyed it. I got so absorbed in making traditional crafts using kuba leaves that I completely lost track of time. If I had to nitpick, it would have been perfect if the air conditioning in the van had been just a little bit cooler.
