What is Tindavana (Tindahanata)?
Tindabana (Tindahanata) is an 85-meter-high natural observatory that commands a wide view of Yonaguni Island's tourist attractions such as Sonai village and the East China Sea, and is also one of Japan's designated scenic spots.
The terrain was formed by coral uplift and erosion, and is steeped in legend and history.
There are the remains of the residence of Sanay Isoba, a female chief at the end of the 15th century, and a cave where a dog and a woman called Inugan are said to have lived.
