What is Kubura Port?
Kubura Port is a fishing port on Yonaguni Island where seafood from coastal and nearby waters is landed.
If you are lucky, you may be able to see a big marlin, far taller than a person, land in the water.
Ferries connecting Yonaguni Island and Ishigaki Island also arrive and depart from this Kubura port.
How to enjoy Kubura Port
The "International Marlin Fishing Tournament" is held every July, and if you are lucky, you may be able to see marlin up close.
At the "Uminin Shokudo" on the first floor of the Yonaguni Town Fisheries Cooperative Association, you can enjoy set menus that use plenty of freshly caught seafood, making it popular among locals and tourists alike.
